Tomorrow's The Day

Since I will be starting my blog tomorrow, I thought I would tell you a little bit about me.

I am 54 years old.  I am a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt, great-aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend.  Wow, that's alot of titles but I love being each and every one of them.  I have been married to "Tommy Harper Jr."  for 30 years and I have 2 sons, Shane (age 35) and Tommy III (age 30).  Tommy III is married to Allie and Shane's girlfriend is Kayla.  I have 3 beautiful granddaughters, Fallyn Jade (age 5), Caelyn Kree (age 3), and Rieley Kaie (age 1).  I am very family orientated.  My family is my world.
I still live in the same area that I grew up in.  Tommy and I have lived in our present home for 17 years.
I am a Christian.  My wonderful parents (Robert Edgar & Frances Stancil)  taught me about God and made sure I knew about Jesus and how He died so that I could be saved and one day live with Him in Heaven.  Gospel music was always a big part of my life when I was growing up.  My daddy was a preacher and he could sing and play the guitar.  I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters and we were always singing in church. Tommy (my husband) also plays the guitar and can sing.  I suppose that is why God chose him to be my husband.  Since 1991 my husband and I have had a gospel music ministry and in 1995 we became a full-time ministry.  In 2009 my sister Jeanene joined our group.  We do alot of traveling, singing in many different places... churches, nursing homes, flea markets and any where God opens a door for us.
I hope this gives you a little insight about who I am and I am looking forward to the New Year to see what lays in store for me.

Starting A Blog

Starting January 1st  I will be starting a blog.  I'm not sure why and probably no one but me will be reading it but I thought it would be fun to write down my thoughts and keep a record of things that are happening in my life.  The reason I'm calling it "Rambling Redbird"  is because I love redbirds and I will probably be doing alot of rambling.  Please check it out starting New Year's Day.
